Go on a treasure hunt! Fukuoka History Treasure Cards will be available from Saturday April 28th

Special cards featuring treasures of Fukuoka will be distributed at museums and some historical places located along the bus routes starting from Saturday April 28th. (Note :  Limited number of cards are available. First come, first served basis.)


Your mission:

  1. Get " History treasure card " at Museums / Exhibition Halls in Fukuoka city
  2. Get on busses and go to the historical places where you can get " mission cards "
  3. Bring two mission cards and get 1 " Premium Card " at the Fukuoka City Museum
  4. When all 28 cards are gathered, we invite you to the special exhibition of the Fukuoka City Museum for 1 year (about 3 to 4 times per year)!
Get a chance to attend special exhibitions at the Fukuoka City Museum for one-year free of charge by collecting Fukuoka Treasure Cards!

There are three types of cards and there are different ways to get them.

1. Rekishi Otakara Card (History Treasure Card), which is composed of 13 cards.
You can get this type of card at the places mentioned below. There are 13 cards and each of them is placed in different locations. The contents of the cards are related to the place where you can get them.  It must be fun to guess the contents of the cards before you actually see them!
Cards are available at the following locations:

  • Fukuoka Maizou Bunkazai Center (Fukuoka City Archaeology Center)
  • Itatsuke Iseki Yayoi Kan(A small museum named “Yayoi Kan”, located next to the Itazuke Site)
  • Hakata Machiya Furusato Kan(Folk Museum)
  • Hakata Dentou Kougeikan(Hakata Traditional Craft and Design Museum)
  • Fukuoka Asian Art Museum
  • Korokan Ato Tenjikan (Korokan Ruins Exhibition Hall)
  • Fukuoka jo Mukashi tanbo Kan (Fukuoka Castle Ruins Visitor Center)
  • Sannomaru Square
  • Fukuoka City Museum
  • Noko Museum

2. Mission Card, which is composed of 10 cards

These cards will be distributed along 5 bus routes :
Shikanoshima island line, Imashuku Meihama line, Nishinoura line, Kanatakehasimoto line, Wakiyamasi line.

Each line has 2 types of cards and you can get as many as 10 cards in total. Mission cards are available at the following locations.

Shikanoshima island line (Nishitetu bus)

3. Premium card, which is composed of 5 cards
You will get 1 premium card at the Fukuoka City Museum by bringing 2 mission cards you got from the same bus route. The contents of the premium cards are top secret!

4.Get all 28 cards and receive the special reward!
Complete the collection of all 28 treasure cards and bring them to the Fukuoka City Museum to receive the Hyper ourai tegata pass. Using this pass, you can see any special exhibition that will be held at the museum once for free! The offer lasts for one year!
