How to Enjoy the Fukuoka City Museum #3 Enjoy Asian Culture at Mitaiken Lab!

We are really proud of our exhibitions but that is not everything we have. We have a lot more to offer!
When you enter the museum, you’ll see this room called Mitaiken lab on your right.

Mitaiken is Japanese for something you haven’t experienced yet. It also means “I want to see it” in the Hakata dialect. The name itself is a pun and it represents the room astonishingly well!
This room is for experiencing various Asian cultures like clothing, games, and music installments. This is the room for you to experience and see something new.

Check out this display! You can make your own helmet by just choosing the decorations!  Instant transformation into a samurai! You can take a group picture as well!
