The exhibition, “Samurai Kuroda” invites visitors to explore a world of samurai warriors by showing a variety of exquisitely decorated armor suits, helmets and weapons of the Kuroda Family.
The objects will be shown together with the detailed item descriptions which include some interesting episodes like “a helmet, which was too gorgeous that made an easy target at which enemies could aim their cannons, arrows and any other possible weapons.”
This helmet may look cool, but surely you wouldn't want to wear this into battle!
The exhibition coincides with the display of our national treasure sword “Heshikiri Hasebe”. (Separate entrance fee is required) The sword is so famous that it attracts many guests from and outside of Japan. They sometimes make a long queue in front of the museum!
Please don’t miss out this valuable opportunity to see the famous sword and to learn more about samurai warriors!
