How to Enjoy the Fukuoka City Museum #1 Let's take a walk to the museum!

It looks like it’ll be fine weather throughout this week. How about taking a walk to the museum?
You can arrive right in front of the museum by using the Nishitetsu bus service, but let me recommend one other way to reach to the museum. It is to take the subway to Nishijin station (K04:
Kuko Line).
From the station, it’ll take about 15 minutes to reach the museum on foot. When you take exit one, the scenery looks like this.

How about buying a bento lunch box and a drink at Nishijin Market? It is a nice old, Japanese style market.

The street that leads to the museum is called Sazae San street. Sazae-san is one of the most popular cartoons in Japan. The cartoonist Ms. Machiko Hasegawa got the idea of the story while taking a walk around this nice bayside area!

Did you know that Seinan University has a museum too? The entrance is free and the building itself is a cultural asset! (The museum sure is great, but please don’t skip our museum for this!)

I hear the cafeteria they have is also good and reasonably priced.
Turn left at the junction when you see the green roof of Bon Repas supermarket.

You can enjoy Sazae-san monuments along the way.

You’ll see the museum on your right!
Enjoy your bento box in the garden! Now, you’ve reached the museum. I’ll tell you how to enjoy the museum contents next time.

Please see the movie for more details. ("Sazae San street"  by Sawara ward)
