Today, July 21st, we, Fukuoka City Museum welcomed our 10,000,000th visitor through its door.
The lucky 10,000,000th visitor is Ms. Akiko Takei from Yamanashi prefecture. I really envy her!
(You’ll see the reason soon…)
Celebratory gifts were given to Ms. Takei from our director, Mr. Arima. The gifts were a commemorative plaque and a free entrance pass to the Fukuoka City Museum, valid for 25 years! We’ve prepared those gorgeous gifts for the 10,000,000th visitor, since 10,000,000 is really something.
For those of you feeling really envious, you also have a chance to get a free entry pass to the Fukuoka City Museum! We are planning to hold a raffle as a part of the celebration. The 1st reward is a 5 year entry pass to the Fukuoka City Museum! There are no blanks in the raffle and the presents you can get are astonishingly gorgeous! Let me give you some examples: vouchers for The Residential Suite Fukuoka, free tickets to Softbank Hawks baseball games, Avispa Fukuoka foot ball games, admission tickets to Hakata-za, invitation tickets to special exhibitions of museums in Fukuoka prefecture. You will be qualified to enter the raffle just by showing a ticket stub from the exhibition rooms. (It can be from either the Permanent exhibition or The Great Amazon exhibition.)
Some members from the Seiryo High School Orchestra livened up the atmosphere by playing a fanfare.
They will have a concert starting at 19:00 in the Fukuoka City Museum tomorrow, playing some classical music, which is suited for listening in the twilight hours. Listening to the classical music in the museum sounds romantic, don’t you think? Entrance will be free!
The Fukuoka City museum is now planning to hold more events to celebrate the record of 10,000,000 visitors. For details, please check out our next blog!
