During 79 AD, the city of Pompei was buried under ash by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius and met with a tragic end. When the city was rediscovered in the 18th Century, people were astonished to find Pompei had been a very civilized ancient city.
The city of Pompei has been a center of worldwide attention since then.

This exhibition will focus on the wall painting, which is the most popular remaining artifact of Pompei. It will highlight features such as the intended usage and aesthetic value of the painting.
